Davina is founder of Davina Steel … Baking the Difference: East Anglia’s only commercial, fully gluten free bakery. After becoming intolerant to gluten following cancer treatment, Davina used her science and nutritional background (BSc in Biochemistry / Microbiology and Nutrition) to develop a range of world award winning gluten free breads. With her home bake kits and mixes established in retail, her thoughts turned to a bakery. She and her team have established a SALSA approved bakery that now supplies food service, retailers and wholesalers with a range of baked goods and snacks. Alongside the bakery, Davina spends time giving talks and demonstrations at schools about food allergies, how to eat safely and how to help friends of family that might have health issues with food. She has judged many healthy eating competitions in schools and mentors the next generation in food preparation and cooking and baking skills. To find out more, see the website.
