Nourish Keto Awards®

Welcome to the 2023 Nourish Keto Awards®

Launching the first ever awards dedicated to low-carb and ketogenic products!

Lead sponsor – SRSLY Low Carb

We couldn’t be more excited to launch this new chapter to the Nourish Awards®. The Keto and Low-carb category of the awards has grown ten fold over the past few years. With more and more science underpinning the benefits of eating fewer carbohydrates (especially the refined variety) low carb and low sugar products are being developed and launched all over the world.

The Nourish Keto Awards, as always – aims to find the best. We are looking for “clean keto” healthy options that don’t just reduce the carb or sugar content but actually provide good nutrition. Products must deliver on taste, texture and suit the low-carb / keto markets.

2023 Nourish Keto Awards® Entry Guide

This award chapter is exclusively for low-carb and keto products. As a guideline, these should be products where less than 15- 10% of the total calories come from carbohydrates, although this may vary and may be higher depending on the product (eg. fruit spreads with no sugar).

Carbs will primarily come from natural sources such as fruit and vegetables rather than grains, legumes or starch.

Gluten and dairy containing products can enter.

Please check the categories and read through this guide before entering.

We organise the judging at our dedicated judging facility with our in-house catering team.
Our judging panel includes practising nutritionists and nutritional therapists, low-carb and keto specialists and other industry experts and representatives.

We invite up to 8 judges for each judging session. They taste all products and study the information including the list of ingredients and the nutrition. We use a combination of scores and ranking in order to determine the shortlist and the winners.

We are looking for products developed specifically for the low-carb market with the aim of tackling diabetes and obesity. We are looking for low GI products that will not spike blood sugar levels rapidly.

Products should achieve great taste and texture as well as being low in carbs or considerably lower than similar products on the market.

Winning products will deliver on taste, texture but also provide good nutrition, with high quality ingredients. Our judges will also look for products that provide a good source of protein, fibre, vitamins and minerals – as well as being delicious and appeal to a wide market.

All products are automatically entered into the Special Awards. The judges create the shortlist for the special awards from all entrants during the first round of judging. Winners will be determined from the shortlist based on scores, ranking and individual judges comments.
