Annie is a mother, Registered Nutritionist and looks after Membership and Communications at the Organic Trade Board (OTB).
As a Registered Nutritionist, she has worked with brands and charities from Organix, British Heart Foundation, Sustain, First Steps Nutrition, Can Cook Liverpool, Barnardos, Soil Association to Alara Wholefoods and more.
Before leaving London for Dorset, she researched the impact of cooking in schools activities on children’s attitude and behaviour with colleagues at City University.
Annie has been passionate about organic since the 1990’s when she started buying organic and in 2001 she worked at Sustain on the Organic Targets Campaign where she organised a rally and lobby of MP’s to increase organic farming in the UK. The opportunity to work at the in the organic sector came up again in 2015 when she started working at the OTB. She loves looking after the organisation’s 150 members (representing over 75% of the UK organic sector), which includes a diverse range of members from Abel and Cole to Yeo Valley with many more in-between.
The OTB was set up in 2009 with one aim: To increase sales of organic, through successful consumer marketing campaigns.
The current campaign #FeedYourHappy is having a positive impact, with increased awareness, changes in attitudes and behaviour and increases in sales of organic.
